Eryka returns from a trip to Western Sahara where she has been filming a documentary on the Sahrawi refugee camps. She travels to Spain to meet her boyfriend, Marc but on arriving discovers he has vanished. She meets David, her boyfriend's roommate and archaeologist co-worker. As they search for Marc an intense attraction develops. Marc reappears, surprising Eryka and reminding her that she has been having a recurring nightmare about his disappearance.
