SINOPSIS
SINOPSIS
There were only 12, like the apostles. Hardened men, who challenged nature and managed to set foot on the moon. That satellite both arisco and romantic that looks at us since time immemorial. All, without exception were marked. Some became mystics and founded pseudo-religious organizations, others hid, the least took refuge in alcohol and there were even those who began to paint paintings with the same theme, again and again. What happened on the moon to affect that group of pioneers in such a dramatic way?
When the Mercury project is launched in 1958, with an eye on reaching the Moon, NASA knows perfectly the need to build bases around the globe to keep the transmissions always active. In 1961 the space station of Maspalomas is inaugurated, and with the arrival of tourism it will move more inland. The baptism was carried out with the launch and follow-up of the Explorer 9 satellite, on February 16, 1961, and the first operational follow-up took place during the Mercury-Atlas 4 unmanned mission, on September 13 of that same year. Although the most famous follow-up is Apollo 11, the first mission to step on the moon.
On July 16, 1969, Apollo 11 departs with Neil Amstrong, who as the apostle Andrew was the first to be called by Jesus, the first to step on the moon. On Earth, the connections are changing place, country, until the turn comes to the space station of the Canary Islands. The Apollo 11 trip was not the only mission that set foot on the moon and turned with more unknowns than answers. An initiatory journey into the human being.
Upon their return they will visit all the stations they were in contact with, including Maspalomas.
